Living Word currently meets at and works out of a traditional church building in Stock Street. It was built in
built 1885 as U.F. church. There are Two stained glass windows, Mary and Martha, possibly by Stephen Adam (1846/48 - 1910) whose only other surviving work in Paisley is a pair of windows in the Abbey.
It was purchased by Living Waters from Lylesland Parish Church in the 1980s, and was renovated in 2005 when Living Word and Living Waters merged.
The facility has a main auditorium with 3 balconies, office space, a visitors' room, prayer room, cafe area, nursery, multi-purpose upper room, and youth room.
The building is maintained by our new Property Management Team, a desperate band of maintenance-enthusiasts. They are being unleashed on 3 areas:
- Responsibility for Health & Safety checks
- Repairs & maintenance
- Strategic development & upgrading
Volunteers with skills are required to join the team; if you enjoy creative planning, tinkering and building, come and help.
